Phyllis Rase

Phyllis Rase is a retired educator, having most recently worked in Curriculum at the Alabama Department of Education, and having taught at Dothan High School, Troy University Dothan, Wallace Community College Dothan, The University of Alabama in Birmingham, Jefferson State Community College Birmingham, and Portland Community College, Oregon.

She graduated Phi Beta Kappa with academic honors from The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa with a B.A. double major in English and History. After a year of graduate study at The University of New Mexico, she earned a M.A. in English from The University of Alabama in Birmingham. She enjoys reading, traveling, and community involvement.
